Sebass celebrates 20 years on stage!

With renewed energy, Sebass kicks off the anniversary season, presenting new music alongside beloved classics from their repertoire. The recipe remains unchanged: with plenty of energy, playfulness, and virtuosity, they make the strings vibrate, the drums groove, and the fingers dance, captivating everyone in front of the stage.

Their driving Balkan music transcends cultural boundaries, spreading joy of dance and a love for music—whether in intimate performances, on festival stages, in underground clubs, or classical concert halls.

The compositions of the two Sebass members, Seraphim von Werra and Nehrun Aliev, reflect a deep proficiency in various Balkan styles, as well as a passion for the wild and improvisational music tradition of the Roma. Moreover, Sebass’s musical repertoire looks beyond borders: their songs are sung in various languages, the rhythms are sometimes irregular, and the melodies evoke Mediterranean summer nights.

After four published studio albums, more recordings are planned for the anniversary year. There will be many opportunities to experience the formation live—a spectacular event that, after twenty years of maturation and stage experience, is more enjoyable than ever!​
